PARAISO – PARADISE

Cozumel Reef

Conveniently near of the harbour of Caleta, rich in animal and plant life. The diving area lies at a depth of approx. 14 ms (46 ft) and divides itself into three areas which are separated laterally by shifted sandy sections from each other. It is not a wall, and to both sides of the reefs there are sandy areas. Currents are often variable. One finds lobsters, king crabs, morays, big snappers and a lot more. Now and again eagle rays come to visit this reef.
It is the preferred diving place for night dives during which many king crabs and turquoise-coloured Caribbean octopusses can be seen.
