CHUN-CHACAAB

CHUN-CHACAAB

This diving place differs totally from the other reefs. Many parallel coral benches stretch obliquely along the coast. These are covered with a lot of sponges, gorgonias, black corals and algae. One finds lobsters and other crustaceans under overhangs. Furthermore turtles and eagle rays are often seen. Chubs, snappers, school masters and other fish are numerously represented. The dive usually begins in the south of the reef. The submerged depth lies between 20 (65) and 30 ms (100 ft).
